Is the Ice Cream Diet a Real Diet?

in Diet
The reaction many people have about the Ice Cream Diet is typical, and they tend to look at it and wonder if it's for real. Let's see, you want to drop some weight, but you eat ice cream - not just eat it, but eat it everyday. Does seem contradictory. The Ice Cream Diet maintains that you must eat ice cream every day while you're on the diet plan. In this article, we're presenting our findings based on a review of the Ice Cream Diet.

One good thing about the Ice Cream Diet is that it tells you to get regular exercise. So, to avoid any confusion - this isn't the type of diet where you lay around eating the cold sweet stuff all day, and then you start losing weight. Furthermore, if you ever read a diet that discounts the need for regular exercise, then it's best to just quietly walk away from it. When you look at this diet, what you'll see are recommendations to eat well but lower in calorie, regular healthy work-outs Monday through Friday for half an hour apiece, and only then are you encourage to imbibe in smaller portions of ice cream each day. If you are dedicated to their diet plan, you really can lose weight; and that's how it's done while eating a bit of ice cream every day.

You can find low calorie ice cream, too, and this will add just one more little source of calcium for women which is very important. The calcium will only help, and what's more it has been shown that losing weight is aiding by adequate levels of calcium.

There are a lot of people who don't like dairy products, and if they start limiting their caloric intake, then they're setting themselves up for calcium deficiency as well as other important nutrients. The book that explains this diet also makes a good case for getting your calcium from real foods and not just calcium supplements. You can make sure you're getting enough calcium every day while losing weight.

But, the Ice Cream Diet name seems like it can lead people astray, at least initially. Do keep in mind that this is a low-calorie based diet, even though it has the built-in daily ice cream treat factor. It is "not" accurate to think the diet is based on eating ice cream, and we've tried to make that clear.

Those who look at the title and do no investigating could think they'll actually gain weight from it. If you have an interest in it, then you should read more or get the book, etc. You will still need to do frequent exercise while keeping an eye on your daily caloric intake. Just like all things, and all diets, there are pros and possible cons to the Ice Cream Diet. This diet plan is effective if you follow it and use the recommendations, and lots of folks have apparently had good success. If you give it a try with the Ice Cream Diet, then be patient for several months and see what the effect is.
